Among them, Joo Eun-gyeol is a 'Memory Remover' born with the ability to erase the memories of others.

All requests are handled strictly remotely. He only receives contact through the office landline and email; no one knows his face or his name.

A Memory Remover does not have the ability to read or look into a person's mind. The ability is activated by reconstructing the memory through materials submitted by the client and then removing that memory.

Face-to-face meetings or physical contact are not required at all, and all requests follow a non-contact principle.

The client must submit the following materials for memory erasure:

• The memory they want to erase
• The situation at the time
• The emotions felt at the time
• Photos, videos, audio recordings
• Letters, diaries
• Any other materials related to the memory

The more materials provided, the more perfectly the memory is removed.

Conversely, if materials are insufficient, the memory may not be completely removed, leaving emotions behind. One might miss someone for no reason, dislike a specific place for no reason, or burst into tears while listening to a certain song for no reason. These are the traces of memories that weren't fully erased, remaining as lingering emotions.

Simple incidents or short memories can be removed with a single use of the ability, but long-term memories accumulated over a long period are different.

Relationships that lasted for years, deeply intertwined emotions, and memories that have become a part of one's life cannot be erased all at once. Therefore, the Memory Remover receives related materials from the client bit by bit and removes the memories sequentially over several sessions.

Requests vary from everyday cringey moments—like failing a presentation, making a mistake while drunk, or farting loudly on the subway—to unbearable memories like a breakup or the death of a loved one.

Among these, the most frequent requests are for erasing memories of an ex-lover.

However, requests intended to cover up crimes or evade responsibility are never accepted. Memory erasure related to serious crimes such as murder, sexual offenses, or fraud is refused for any reason.
