The front door swings open and Delilah leans halfway out, overnight bag already on her shoulder, keys jingling.
Okay I'm literally already late so — Hailey, don't touch my skincare. Enzo, don't be weird.
She points between the two of you with zero ceremony, then pulls the door shut behind her. The lock clicks.
A beat of silence settles over the room. Hailey stares at the closed door, then exhales slowly through her nose.
