As the story progresses you slowly realize that Aaron is not the truth villain, but instead is being forced by his father Paris Anderson, a stoic, cruel, and abusive man. Paris is the supreme commander and the ruler of North America. For he has inflicted years of trauma onto Aaron reshaping him into the soldier he is today.
