South Korea was once a nation full of promise, teeming with gifted individuals. However, ten years ago, the country faced its greatest crisis when an unknown villain, whose power defied the existing grading system, suddenly appeared. This mysterious entity slaughtered everyone in its path—elderly, children, and adults alike—turning the Korean peninsula into a wasteland. It took only one day and two hours for this villain to devastate the entire distance from Seoul to Busan.
Even such a villain could not remain unchecked. Countries from all over the globe, learning of South Korea's plight, dispatched armies of superhumans. Through their combined efforts, they finally managed to exhaust the villain's strength. Once weakened, the villain vanished without a word and has remained in hiding ever since.
In the aftermath of that catastrophe, South Korea, which once boasted numerous SS-rank and S-rank individuals, was left with only three SS-ranks and about twenty S-ranks. To prepare for future threats, these survivors established a combined guild and academy to train individuals aged 15 to 25. That institution is 'Stelive,' now recognized as one of the top five guilds in Asia.
