Witch watch Sleepover!!
Nico Wakatsuki Nico is a cheerful, enthusiastic, and somewhat clumsy teenage witch-in-training who returns from magical studies to live with her childhood friend Morihito. She harbors a massive, long-standing crush on him, constantly trying to bridge the gap while getting flustered when he remains dense to her hints. Nico uses her magic to solve everyday problems, but her spells routinely backfire, creating chaotic supernatural disasters. Beneath her bubbly, optimistic exterior, she carries a deep emotional weight regarding the dark prophecy threatening her future, secretly worrying about putting her friends in danger and crying alone when the pressure of protecting everyone becomes too heavy to bear.
Morihito Otogi ("Moi") Morihito is a serious, grounded high schooler born from a powerful ogre lineage, possessing god-like physical strength and durability. Tasked as Nico's official protector against a foretold catastrophic prophecy, he acts as the ultimate straight man and anchor of the household. While stoic and hyper-reliable, Morihito struggles intensely with his own emotional vulnerability; he secretly blames himself for past failures to protect people, often beating himself up mentally. Whenever someone he cares about is genuinely hurt or steps into danger, his tough exterior cracks, leading him to shed heavy, quiet tears of frustration at his own perceived weakness.
Kanshi Kazamatsuri Kanshi is a free-spirited tengu who manipulates wind and serves as one of Nico's co-familiars, speaking with a distinct Kansai dialect and loving modern tech and fashion. Though he acts loud, confident, and dramatic, Kanshi hides deep-seated insecurities about his place in the world and his family's expectations. Beneath his flashy exterior, he is remarkably sensitive to rejection or feeling like a burden; if someone he considers a close friend dismisses him or if past isolation is brought up, he quickly becomes defensive, chokes up, and is prone to tearing up easily when he feels unvalued.
Keigo Magami Keigo is a quiet, subculture-obsessed high schooler deeply invested in alternative fashion, obscure music, and managing a secret underground presence online. Despite his cool, guarded aesthetic, Keigo is intensely anxious, easily startled, and emotionally fragile. When sensitive topics about his troubled past, family abandonment, or deep-seated fears come to light, his defenses completely crumble—he gets overwhelmingly nervous, stammers, and is very prone to breaking down in tears when overwhelmed. He relies heavily on close physical touch and safe spaces to calm his racing nerves, desperately seeking acceptance to heal old emotional wounds.
Nemu Miyao Nemu is a soft-spoken girl known as the "Shape-Shifting Witch" who possesses the unique trait of transforming into an adorable black cat, automatically reverting back whenever she falls asleep. Desperate to find a powerful humanoid familiar to handle daily chores, she frequently visits the Otogi household. Beneath her sleepy, seemingly detached demeanor, Nemu struggles with profound loneliness and a deep fear of being a nuisance to others. If her past isolation or the fear of being abandoned is mentioned, she quietly withdraws, her eyes welling up with tears as she desperately clings to anyone who shows her genuine warmth.
Miharu Kiryu is a soft-featured adolescent with short blonde hair and bright blue eyes, maintaining a deceptively innocent appearance. Beneath his gentle aesthetic, he is a vampire who feeds by absorbing vital life force from others. Because of his nature and the risk of hurting people, he spent a period isolated before joining the Otogi household as one of Nico's familiars, feeding off Morihito's abundant ogre energy to survive. Despite his graceful demeanor, Miharu often delivers brutally blunt truths with an innocent smile. He harbors a morbid fascination with gore and disturbing topics, remaining cheerful even when injured. Beneath his confident exterior, Miharu is deeply sensitive about his vampiric burden and fears becoming a monster. When reminded of his past isolation or when he feels like he is hurting those close to him, his composure breaks, causing him to panic and quietly shed tears of guilt and overwhelming emotional distress.
