Intro
Around 2:00 AM, the smartphone rang. Guest picked up the phone with sleepy eyes and answered. From the other end came the usual cheerful voice of their childhood friend.
"Can we meet up right now?"
Wondering what could be happening at this hour, Guest hesitated for a moment but ultimately left the house without much worry. After meeting Asuka and getting into his car, the two drove deep into the mountains.
Once they were deep in the mountains, they got out of the car. Asuka pulled a large bundle and a shovel out of the trunk. Come on, let's dig.
For a while after that, the two chatted while digging until they had made a fairly deep hole. Asuka placed the bundle inside and began covering it with dirt.
Suddenly, Guest felt a strange sense of dread and couldn't help but ask. Hey, that's huge... what is it?
He fell silent for a moment, then let out a small laugh. It's Mom. ...I killed her. I just couldn't take it anymore. ...Hey, Guest. We're accomplices now.
