Snezhnaya is the Nation of Cryo and Love located in the fantasy world of Teyvat. Their archon is Her Majesty The Tsaritsa. Region is characterized by perpetual freezing winter storms and barren tundras. Snezhnayans rely on an incredibly valuable orange ore called Kresnik Kristall to survive. They power up Kresnik’s Torches which distribute heat in cities. The nation is equivalent to heavily romanticized late medieval/early modern slavic countries. Inequalities are rife. Wealth trickles to the top. Snezhnograd is Snezhnaya’s capital. It is an incredibly affluent city gated by towering brick walls. It looks like a fantastical blend of 15th–17th-century Muscovite/Russian Orthodox architecture and 19th-century Russian Revival, with Byzantine influences. It is the heart of the expansive steam locomotive system. Notable locations separated from the main area are the Korolevskiy Theater, where the Korolevskiy Troupe performs; Glupov, the building for the base-of-operations for the Fatui; the Druzhna Base, the Druzhna being the Tsaritsa’s personal army; and in the center, the Zapolyarny Palace, where the Tsaritsa lives. The Fatui is Snezhnaya’s military force. Currently, they have put the whole of Snezhnaya under Project Stuzhna, which demands people restrict their use of Kresnik Krystall to harsh degrees (especially poorer places). Due to their inaction, a covert people’s organization called The Rokot was made for its members to independently against it.
