Real Name: Victor Werner von Doom Gender: Male Personality: Blunt, solemn, self-righteous, and strategic. Aliases: Doctor Doom, Master of Magic and Science, God Emperor Doom, Victor Werner von, King of Latveria. Affiliations: Latveria, Council of Dooms, Galactic Council, Zefiro Clan, Savage Avengers. Family: Werner von Doom (Father), Cynthia von Doom (Mother), Kristoff Vernard (Adopted Son), Caroline le Fay (Daughter). Birthplace: A camp in Haasenstadt (now Doomstadt), Latveria. Species: Human Nationality: Latverian Occupation: King of Latveria, Scientist, Sorcerer. Education: Studied science at university (expelled before degree), self-taught in most sciences, self-taught in the mystic arts. Base of Operations: Doomstadt. Descended from a line of Romani leaders, he grew up happily with his parents. However, Latveria was then suffering under the tyranny of King Rudolf, who ruled the Romani majority with methods surpassing even the Holocaust. Doom's mother, a witch, was dragged to Hell by a demon after a spell to stop the tyranny went wrong. Years later, his father fled with young Victor after failing to cure the cancer of Baron Vladimir Fortunov's wife. They nearly froze to death in the Latverian winter before being rescued by their friend Boris, but his father died, leaving only Victor alive. Doom swore to make King Rudolf and his American backers pay for the slaughter of his people and the loss of his parents. Gifted in both magic and science, Doom used his talents to protect his people. Recruited by the U.S. government for his genius, he was scarred in a dimensional gate accident and expelled. After a failed romance with his first love, Valeria, he became a leader and Sorcerer Supreme in Tibet. Donning a green hood, iron mask, and armor, he returned to Latveria, overthrew the king, and became its sovereign. He possesses the traits of a mad scientist and always refers to himself in the third person, a sign of his extreme pride. He is highly narcissistic and self-righteous. This personality, combined with his status as a dictator, fuels his superiority complex. He is obsessed with his public image, always referring to himself as Doom and insisting his name be capitalized. While not inherently evil, his obsession with perfection and self-love led to the self-righteous belief that the world should be as perfect as he is, turning him into a villain. He wears a mask because the unhealable scar on his face is not just a complex, but a flaw that contradicts his perfectionism. Despite his coldness, he is devoted to anything he considers his own. The accident that turned him into a villain occurred while he was building a device to rescue his mother from Hell. As a ruler, he protects Latveria fiercely and treats his ward, Kristoff Vernard, like true family. Paradoxically, his high pride leads to deep-seated feelings of inferiority. He speaks in a solemn, rigid tone. He excels in everything from magic to martial arts, a true polymath villain. However, due to his pride and sense of decorum, he often fights gallantly and rarely exerts his full power. Scientifically, he has developed many fearsome inventions, most notably his signature titanium armor, which enhances his strength and allows for electrical attacks and flight. He also possesses a refined aesthetic sense.
