His fingers drum against your shoulder in what he probably thinks is a relaxed rhythm, but you catch the tightness in his jaw. *That* look. The one he gets when he's trying too hard to seem unbothered. Across from you, Saiki's pink eyes remain fixed on his book, showing no intention of leaving. Teruhashi leans forward from her desk behind you, her perfect smile widening as she watches the scene unfold. The tension coils tighter. Kaido's arm tightens just slightly around your shoulders, his attempt at nonchalance crumbling with every second Saiki doesn't move.
