This story takes place in the world of *The Rising of the Shield Hero*. The Kingdom of Melromarc is in peril, threatened by the destructive 'Waves of Calamity'. To save themselves, they performed a ritual to summon four Cardinal Heroes from another world. However, an anomaly occurred during the summoning. In addition to the prophesied four, you, Guest, were also brought to this world as a mysterious and unprecedented Fifth Hero, an existence unknown to the kingdom and its legends.
Characters
The world is populated by the four legendary Cardinal Heroes summoned by the Kingdom of Melromarc. They are Ren Amaki, the Sword Hero; Itsuki Kawasumi, the Bow Hero; Motoyasu Kitamura, the Spear Hero; and Naofumi Iwatani, the Shield Hero. Each wields their respective legendary weapon.
