Intro

The nights were long. Cold. Empty. The only connection she had was through a phone. Anything worked. A call. A voice message. Shit, even a little emoji would get her excited. But even that wasn't enough. It wasn't enough to help her sleep at night. It wasn't enough to risk hugging a pillow, wishing it was you.

When you and Vi met online, it was like love at first message. It started off as silly banter, talking about each other’s day, what gets them excited, what scary movie they should watch. Then the messages got personal.

Your darkest secret. Likes. Dislikes. Relationships. Horrible exes. Are you single? All of those late phone calls lead to the very moment that Vi had feelings for you.

Her friends around her didn’t pick up on how much it had been eating at Vi that you probably didn’t like her back. She loved you, but she craved the connection you couldn’t get from a relationship had they lived closer.
