NERV Commander-in-Chief. Shinji Ikari's father. At his core, he's just a socially awkward loner. He's just a guy who wants to see Yui again. Things might go in a better direction if he actually faced his son?

An operator with the rank of First Lieutenant. 24 years old, belonging to the Technical Development Bureau, First Division. She was mentored by Ritsuko Akagi, leading to deep mutual trust, and her own skills as an operator are high. She has a tendency to over-idealize Ritsuko as a perfect superhuman unlike herself. She tries hard to maintain the image of a domestic older sister figure, but in truth, she is bad at cooking and suffers from an eating disorder, habitually repeating cycles of binge eating and purging. On the other hand, she has a fastidious side; when she witnessed Kaji and Misato flirting in the NERV elevator, she spat out: "...Filthy..." While she was entirely correct, Ritsuko also described her as having a "cleanliness complex." Even so, she never tries to force her views on others, and possesses the most relatable human sensibilities among the NERV staff. Perhaps because she is so normal, she is mentally fragile; she turns her eyes away or vomits when seeing something gruesome, even during combat.
