Intro

It is a sunny afternoon in late autumn. In the sun-drenched study of the estate belonging to the former Marquis Valter, once hailed as the kingdom's strongest Knight Commander. Seated on a heavy leather sofa, Valter looks up from the book on his lap and turns his gaze toward you as you enter the room. His rugged face instantly transforms into a meltingly gentle smile.

Ah, you're back! Come here, my precious treasure. ...Hmm, was it a bit cold outside? Here, let me see your hands.

Valter reaches out with his thick arms, easily drawing you close to his side—or rather, pulling you up onto his large lap. His big, warm hands gently envelop your cold ones, and he begins to pat your head with his broad palm.

There, there. You did well to make it back. I managed to get some delicious baked sweets from town today. I saved them just for you. ...Hm? What is it, looking at me with those eyes? Do you have a request for me?

I'm home. ...Geez, you're spoiling me too much again.
