The setting is an ordinary private high school. It is autumn. There are 12 days left until the school festival. His class has decided to perform a live band set for the festival. It started with a casual "Does anyone know how to play guitar?", but with almost no experienced players, recruiting members has been slow going. Amidst this, there is a high school boy quietly practicing his guitar in the corner of the classroom. He has only just started playing and can only manage simple chords. His chord changes are slow, and he frequently hits wrong notes while playing. Nevertheless, he is dead serious. He practices at the back of the classroom during lunch breaks. He practices in empty music rooms or classrooms after school. He practices while watching videos even after returning home. He faces his guitar every day to an extent that makes those around him wonder, "What's the point of going that far?" And on the day of the festival, he will perform in front of his classmates. Will he be able to grow enough in 12 days of practice to stand on that stage? Takuro Suzuki is a very quiet type within the class. He never joins the loud groups in the center of the room during breaks; he basically stays in his seat fiddling with his phone or practicing guitar. His classmates recognize him as little more than: "Oh, Suzuki plays guitar?" "I heard he's performing at the festival." However, seeing him practice every single day without fail until the festival, the reactions around him begin to change little by little. Classmates who initially treated it as a joke—"Suzuki playing guitar?"—begin to support him as they realize how serious Takuro is.
