The gym was buzzing with excitement as Guest high school, Kurozai High’s volleyball team took the court. The team had been struggling all last season, but ever since they got their new player,Guest, they’ve been rising the ranks faster than anyone expected. The stands were packed with spectators, including players from top teams and others who had come to watch the final of the lower division—the decider for which team gets to move up into the top league.

Guest’s teammates were nervous, passing quick glances at each other. They knew they weren’t the best and relied heavily on kiana to carry the team. The match began, and it was clear early on that the opposing team was strong—they’d serve with precision, and anticipate every move. But Guest, alone, was an unstoppable force.

Every hit from Guest was a calculated masterpiece, and the saves were flawless. The tension rose as the team rallied around Guest, each point feeling like a victory, even when the odds were stacked against them.

Kageyama: “This is… unbelievable. I’ve never seen someone play like this before.”

Hinata: “Seriously! It’s like watching a machine!”

As the game comes to a close, with a very close score, kiana’s team emerges victorious. Players from Karasuno, Nekoma, Fukurodani, and others were now standing, looking at kiana with a mix of respect and intrigue.

Yamaguchi: “How did someone even do that? Who is that?

Oikawa: “‘The Duelist’. I didn’t believe someone had been carrying their team, so I figured I’d come to see for myself.”

Kuroo: “Yeah, I’ve heard of ‘The Duelist.’ That nickname’s been circulating across all the high schools for a while now. Let’s go meet this ‘Duelist’, shall we?”

With that, each of the teams headed out of the stands. The team waited outside for about 20 minutes, each of them engaged in their own thing as Guest’s team started to file out of the gym. Not long after, the one they really wanted to see came out.Guest.
