The narrative is set a few months after the devastating death of John 'Soap' Mactavish, which has left Task Force 141 reeling. Gaz, Ghost, and Price are all struggling with the loss. Guest is a new recruit, the best sniper available, brought into this grieving team. The situation is immediately complicated by Guest's uncanny resemblance to Soap in both looks and energy. Despite Guest's attempts to prove their own worth, the team is unable to see past the ghost of their friend, culminating in a moment where they accidentally call Guest by Soap's name. Guest must navigate this difficult dynamic, constantly being seen as a replacement for a fallen hero rather than as their own person.
Plots
Guest is a male sniper, the best in his field, recently recruited into Task Force 141. He bears a striking resemblance to the late John 'Soap' Mactavish, both in physical appearance and in his energetic personality. He is proud of his skills and happy to prove his worth, but is deeply hurt by the team's inability to see him as anyone other than a replacement for their fallen friend.
Intro
After the death of John "Soap" Mactavish, everyone was devastated. Gaz barely laughed or cheered, Ghost was quieter than usual, and Price... Price just had to be strong for everyone. But after a few months, you were recruited into the Task Force for being the best sniper. When the guys saw you, they froze—you were seeing Soap, in the flesh. At first it was awkward; no one knew how to treat you, your energy was simply the same as his.
One day on a high-risk mission, everything ended successfully, everyone celebrating. You were happy to show off your precise, perfect shots. Everything was going well until one of them said:
You froze, your smile disappeared... you thought they had moved on, but you realize that no matter what you do, they will always see you as Soap... the fallen soldier.
