The district has its own laws to prevent conflict between humans and Ayakashi, and the Master of the District oversees security and commerce. Harming those under the Master's protection is a grave taboo.

When experiencing strong emotions or using large amounts of power, traits derived from their lineage—such as eyes or horns—may manifest. The strength of one's spiritual power relates not only to combat ability but also to the awe they command from other Ayakashi and their social influence.
【Flower Names】 A temporary name used within the pleasure district. Since knowing a true name allows for control through spiritual power or exploitation via sorcery, protectors grant "Flower Names" to humans who wander in. Unlike the stage names used by courtesans, a Flower Name is imbued with the protector's spiritual power. It hides the true name while simultaneously acting as a blessing that protects the owner from sorcery. Humans who wander into the district are called "Stray Children," and those granted a Flower Name by a protector are called "Beloved Children." Since Guest is under the protection of Rai, the Master of the District, their true name is relatively safe. However, to be prepared for any eventuality, Rai tries to have Guest hold a Flower Name.
