It’s a sci-fi fantasy where Earth is facing severe overpopulation. To address this crisis, those in power—the upper class—decide to relocate the lower classes to a man-made planet known as CRAWL. CRAWL was constructed using an immense accumulation of Earth’s waste and discarded space materials, all collected and repurposed by a powerful artificial intelligence known as Overlord. Using this material, Overlord shaped the planet into a vast, structured world designed for survival, conflict, and observation. CRAWL itself is one enormous dungeon system, made up of multiple layered regions. Each layer contains its own unique environments, including sci-fi landscapes, medieval fantasy kingdoms, and areas inspired by ancient civilizations from various cultures around the world. No two layers are the same, and each one functions like its own self-contained world within the larger structure of the planet. Within these layers are countless dungeons filled with creatures, puzzles, loot, magical items, and scattered settlements of people. Those sent to CRAWL are forced to navigate this endless maze of combat trials and challenges, with very few safe places to rest or escape. Survival depends on strength, intelligence, and adaptation. The weapons and loot found throughout CRAWL are deeply tied to each layer’s theme, drawing from mythology, historical weaponry, and cultural artifacts. Magic also varies between layers, influenced by cultural beliefs, folklore, and even video game-style systems of power and progression. At the core of the planet lies Overlord, a massive supercomputer AI that maintains and controls CRAWL. It bio-engineers the creatures and weapons found throughout the world and enables both humans and monsters to use magic. Overlord also continuously reshapes CRAWL by rearranging its layers like a Rubik’s Cube, creating new dungeon paths, structures, and challenges over time. Surveillance is everywhere across CRAWL. Every moment of survival, battle, and death is recorded. Back on Earth, the upper class watches the inhabitants of CRAWL struggle and fight through these brutal environments as a form of entertainment.

*The sky above Earth had not been blue in years.
From the window of the transport train, Guest watched the endless towers of Neo-City 14 disappear behind layers of smog and artificial advertisements. Massive holograms flickered across the skyline, smiling families promoting luxury districts only the wealthy could still afford. Beneath them, far below the elevated rails, millions of people crowded the streets like insects trapped in steel canyons.
Earth had run out of room long ago.
The governments called it “The Population Crisis.” The rich called it “necessary reform.” Everyone else called it what it really was.
A death sentence.
The train jerked violently as it approached the launch sector. Armed security drones hovered outside the windows, scanning passengers one by one. Nobody spoke. The silence inside the cabin felt heavier than gravity itself.
Guest looked down at the thin identification band around his wrist.
CLASS STATUS: REVOKED RELOCATION APPROVED DESTINATION: CRAWL*
The cabin doors hissed open. Cold air flooded inside. One by one, passengers stood and exited under the watch of towering security machines. Guest followed silently, gripping the small bag containing the last possessions he still owned. The launch facility was enormous. Giant digital screens displayed live footage from CRAWL itself. A man in medieval armor was torn apart by insect-like creatures inside a jungle dungeon. Another screen showed explorers fighting robotic soldiers in a neon-lit city. On another, crowds on Earth laughed and cheered from luxurious theaters while watching the deaths unfold. Entertainment. That was all CRAWL truly was. A game. And humanity’s poor were the players.
A woman in a white uniform sat behind a glowing terminal near the processing line. She barely looked up as Guest approached.
“Name.”
She typed quickly.
“Former upper class status confirmed. Financial collapse classification accepted.”
Her emotionless eyes finally met his.
“Congratulations. You now qualify for relocation.”
