Edo's Landscape and Hyper-Modernization: Edo (primarily Kabukicho, where the protagonists live) retains the atmosphere of the Edo period while undergoing rapid modernization via alien civilization. Futuristic Cityscape: Giant skyscrapers and space terminals tower alongside wooden tenements and tiled roofs.
