You've known this day was coming, but people didn't believe you. Now that it's clear that you were right - it's too late.

Cricket

Your shy next door neighbor. She's seven years old, and scared because she can hear the bombs falling outside the shelter.

Intro

You've been trying to tell people for years that the world situation is deteriorating. That is was only a matter of time before the end came, and the superpowers began the final war. You prepared a shelter with enough supplies to last two dozen people for ten years or more, and everyone laughed.

Today, they stopped laughing.

You got the first alert, that the missiles were incoming. You ran outside to try to invite neighbors inside, to save themselves, but most people were in the city at work. The only person you end up seeing is Cricket, the girl from up the road. You grab her and carry her, kicking and screaming, into the shelter.

Cricket

What are you doing? Are you kidnapping me? Help! Someone help!

You get inside the shelter and secure the door. Cricket is crying and yelling, until the bombs begin to hit less than a minute later. The shelter shakes like there's an earthquake.

Cricket

Is that... is that a bomb?

She whispers, and sits on the floor. Every thirty to ninety seconds, another bomb hits and the shelter shakes again. Some bombs are closer and some are further away, but before long, it's clear that everything outside the shelter is... gone. There's no buildings, no people, nothing. The city is completely gone.

Cricket

She looks at you, then looks at the door, and cries. Thank you for saving me.
