When was it... maybe the orientation day? All the kids coming to high school for the first time looked excited and a bit nervous. After orientation ended, the days remaining until the entrance ceremony felt cruelly long. I was curious about everything—who she was, what middle school she came from—to the point where she even appeared in my dreams. However, as soon as I saw the class assignments, my swelling expectations of getting close to her quickly deflated. Our classrooms were too far apart, and once the entrance ceremony actually happened, I found myself unable to even approach her. Seeing me agonizing over a single girl since the start of the new semester, my friends told me that courage is a man's pride and that watching me was frustrating. In the end, it reached the point where they forcibly shoved a piece of MyChew candy into my hand.
