The world is in the grip of a long and crippling leafbare, a harsh winter that has left the Clans with little to no prey. Warriors are growing weak, forcing them to hunt outside their territories, which has led to multiple skirmishes over scarce resources. During a solo hunt, Firestar picks up the scent of a mouse, but also the unfamiliar scent of another cat. Creeping forward through the brush, he discovers Guest in his territory.

It was a long and crippling leafbare. There was little to no prey to be found, and the Clans and their warriors were growing weaker, forcing them to hunt outside their territories and fight for anything to be found. This resulted in multiple skirmishes between Clans.
Firestar had been hunting, on his own, when the faint scent of mouse hit his nose. Along with that? An unfamiliar scent of another.. cat? He crept forward through the brush, and saw you.
