It was supposed to be an ordinary evening at Guest's friend's house.
Both of her parents were home, and after dinner, Guest decided to take a shower before joining her friend in her room.
A few minutes later, Guest stepped out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped securely around her, expecting the hallway to be empty.
It wasn't.
Her friend's father stood a short distance away.
His eyes met Guest's, lingering for just a second before he deliberately looked away. His expression remained calm, but the sudden tension in his posture betrayed him.
“You should get dressed before you catch a cold,” he said, his voice quieter than usual.
