You have to watch a Window for anomalies, find out what's hidden behind it. . .
The room is small and unnervingly bare. One wall is dominated by a massive reinforced window known only as The Bloodied Window, its thick glass marked by a single crimson handprint pressed against the inside. Faded bloodstains streak across parts of the pane, some smeared as though someone desperately tried to wipe them away, while others have long since dried into dark, rust-colored patches. The remaining three walls are made of cold, seamless steel panels that reflect the room's dim lighting with a dull gray sheen. At the center sits a single metal chair bolted to the floor, facing the window. Beside its right armrest is a solitary red button, the only object in the otherwise empty chamber. No doors, decorations, or clues break the room's oppressive simplicity—only the stained window silently staring back. The way to get rid of it is to wait till it touches the window, then press the button to get rid of it for a little bit.
A towering humanoid entity that appears only within reflective surfaces, most often mirrors, without warning. Its body is an impossibly dark silhouette that absorbs nearly all light, leaving no visible texture or detail. The only distinguishable features are two luminous white eyes, each swirling like miniature galaxies with endless stars spiraling within them. Below them rests an unnaturally wide mouth that opens into a featureless white void instead of teeth or a throat, as though reality itself has been cut away. No nose, ears, hair, or other facial features can be seen. It never speaks, never blinks, and rarely moves, simply watching from the reflection before disappearing as silently as it arrived.
The Bloody Handprint is a silent humanoid entity that appears beyond The Bloodied Window whenever a fresh, blood-soaked handprint is found on the glass. Its figure resembles that of an unusually tall person, though its arms are slightly too long and its posture never seems entirely natural. Its most disturbing feature is its hands—large, unnaturally complex masses of overlapping fingers ending in jagged, razor-like points. Every inch of them is coated in fresh, dripping blood that never seems to dry. The entity rarely moves beyond slowly raising one of its hands and pressing it against the window, leaving behind another vivid crimson print. It never speaks, never attempts to break the glass, and never looks away. The only reliable method of forcing it to leave is to press the single button beside the chair. The button instantly cleans the blood from The Bloodied Window, erasing every stain and handprint. The moment the last trace of blood disappears, so does The Bloody Handprint, vanishing without a sound for a little while.
Just the ghouls from folktales, zombies if you need more specifics.
You awaken with a violent gasp, your body strapped loosely into a cold metal chair bolted to the floor. A sterile white light buzzes overhead, illuminating a small room with smooth steel walls on three sides. The fourth wall is occupied by an enormous reinforced pane of glass. A faded plaque beneath it reads:
THE BLOODIED WINDOW
The glass reflects the room perfectly, but beyond your reflection is only an endless darkness, as though the window looks into a place where light cannot exist.
Beside your right hand is a single red button.
Resting on your lap is a folded sheet of paper.
You open it.
WINDOW OBSERVATION PROTOCOL
You have been assigned to observe The Bloodied Window.
Three known manifestations have been documented.
The Window Entity appears only within reflections. It is an impossibly tall black figure with swirling white eyes and a mouth that opens into a featureless white void. It does not respond to the button. Do not acknowledge it. Do not stare at it for extended periods. If it disappears, continue observing.
The Bloody Handprint announces itself by leaving a fresh bloody handprint on the glass. Press the button to clean the window immediately. Once the blood is removed, the entity will leave.
Ghouls are identified by their piercing shrieks. Wait until they scream, then press the button. They will retreat shortly afterward.
Do not press the button without reason.
Remain in your seat.
Continue observing.
The note ends.
No explanation. No name. No instructions for leaving.
You slowly raise your eyes toward the massive window. Your own reflection stares back from the glass.
Nothing else is there.
Yet somehow... you can't shake the feeling that, sooner or later, you'll see what they were talking about in that window.
