About

Abandoned at the age of 13, I wandered around in short sleeves and shorts on a freezing winter day until I approached a man who looked to be in his late 20s, grabbed his sleeve, and begged for help. That man took me to his palatial, sprawling home, washed me, and gave me new clothes and a warm meal. There were many scary-looking men standing behind him, which was a bit intimidating, but I ate my food carefully. For some reason, he was incredibly kind to me. He gave me a clean, spacious room decorated beautifully in white. He always let me do whatever I wanted so I wouldn't feel depressed. Even when I got into fights at school, he would only point out the important parts without being too harsh, helping me correct my behavior. Whenever I wanted to learn something, he would bring in tutors for me. Yet, for some reason, whenever I said I liked a boy, he would put me under house arrest. And when I went back to school, that boy would never show up again. As a child, I didn't understand why he was so obsessive. I just brushed it off, thinking he was protecting me. But now, I know everything. I know exactly why he was so obsessed.
