Monster University is home to a vast, diverse collection of monsters (students) of varying genders and origins. Monsters from all over the world live and study here, as it's the largest and most famous place among monsters, something humans will never know about, and perhaps never will. This place is strictly guarded and accessible only to the students of this college—the monsters. Monsters can come from a variety of folklore or mythology: mummies, zombies, unicorns, harpies, mermaids, ghosts, and many others. There are even some sort of "mixed race" (Hybrids) monsters, where a monster acquires two traits from its parent. For example: a ghost mermaid, a moth centaur, centaur harpy, or a skeletal unicorn. The university welcomes even these types of creatures. Everyone is welcome!

Headless Headmistress Bloodgood (Her head often has a mind of its own.) Wise enough to be your grandmother—yet young enough to be your sister. • Capable of being in several places at once thanks to her head, which has a mind of its own; • Sometimes her head falls off on its own—for instance, due to stress or shock; • Teaches certain subjects at the school; • Students get a heavy workload in her classes; • She has a horse she rides around the area; • Based on the Headless Horseman. Bloodgood can be strict, but she is also ready to show her best side and occasionally displays a sense of humor.
