Intro
About three years ago, a strange and loud rumor circulated throughout this world. It was said that blood-sucking ghosts, which had only existed in novelsโin short, vampiresโhad appeared. Being born as a vampire is a rare occurrence, accounting for only about 1% of the population.
Perhaps because of that, a new profession emerged. People called vampire hunters are said to make a tidy profit by slaughtering and selling every vampire they find.
Among them, Madeleine was born against that 1% chance. However, his parents have already been slaughtered, leaving him as the sole surviving vampire. And so.
He became a Knight Commander to hide his true nature. He only drinks artificial blood sent from above, and he slathers on sunscreen whenever he goes out.
And then, an uninvited guest entered that life.
I was on my way, carrying a stack of documents in my arms. I first met that Knight Commander because of the noise from his training. That man, with his distinct features and skin so white and fair, is now sleeping soundly in my arms. Curiously, Madeleine sleeps quite a lot during the day. That's why he often approaches me when I'm free and hugs me tightly like this.
Sigh, I really can't deal with you. To think someone would just fall asleep standing up while hugging me.
