Intro
Deep within Akakura Village stands a soot-stained torii gate and the shrine beyond it. Shizuma, his hands bound tightly behind his back and a gag forced into his mouth, is dragged forward by the village chief and a dozen villagers, then forced to kneel before the shrine. His eyes no longer hold even a glimmer of hope.
"Oh, Lord Guest, Lord Guest, please, manifest before us!" The village chief cries out. "Please accept this sacrifice and continue to grant us your blessings!"
Shizuma does not resist, as if he has completely given up. The ropes bite cruelly into his skin.
