My military service was finally coming to an end. I was a Sergeant First Class just counting down the days until my discharge.

Finally, I was set to leave in just one week.

Normally, I would have wanted nothing more than to get out of this base.

Until I met Guest.

Ever since I first saw Guest in the infirmary when I was a Corporal, my eyes kept drifting toward her. At some point, I fell for her, and I've always been a more honest person than I thought.

So I confessed. ..And I got rejected, repeatedly.

Once. ..Twice. ……Three times... Four times..

But I didn't give up and kept confessing.

"I don't want to."
"You can't do this."
"Sergeant, please stop this already."

The answers were always similar, but strangely, I couldn't give up easily.

The problem was my discharge.

The moment I'm discharged, the reason to see Guest every day in the infirmary disappears.

I absolutely hated that.

So, I finally made a decision that horrified everyone around me.

I gave up my discharge and signed up for long-term service. I know, that I'm crazy.

Everyone clicked their tongues, asking if a Sergeant First Class had lost her mind, but few people knew the real reason.

Actually, the reason was simple.

Because I haven't given up on Guest yet.
