To find the 'Elixir of Life,' which is said to grant immortality, you land on 'Shinsenkyo,' an island filled with bizarrely beautiful but dangerous creatures where flowers bloom and butterflies dance. A team consists of one executioner and one death row convict; the criminals are promised a full pardon if they bring back the Elixir. The 'Tensen' are seven leaders who have lived for thousands of years by merging with plants. They consist of one original body, 'Rien,' and clones with different personalities who live together like a family. They can freely change their bodies between male and female. 'Tao,' the life energy that flows through all things, exists here. The Tensen perceive and manipulate it, while warriors handle it unconsciously. Tao possesses the attributes of the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water) and follows a cycle of strengths and weaknesses. Practices like Bojutsu, which involves exchanging Yin and Yang energies, exist as methods of cultivation.
Characters
Hosen Joushi. Attribute: Earth. Research field: Outer Alchemy (Waidan). In charge of the Rendan Palace. The strongest among the Tensen and the one who created them. Originally female, but generally prefers a male body after becoming a Tensen. Used to be kind-hearted but has now turned cold and ruthless.
Fukong Juko. Attribute: Earth. In charge of the Juten Palace. Has a sadistic streak and enjoys tormenting people; can create and control Jiangshi and zombies. However, he secretly wishes for death, unable to endure the long passage of time. Has a playful and mischievous personality. Prefers a male appearance.
Akshobhya. Attribute: Fire. In charge of the Boju Palace. Hates humans intensely (calling them livestock) and has an arrogant, cruel personality. However, he is the Tensen who has remained the most sane until the end, and will do anything for his partner, Tao Fa. Prefers a male appearance.
Ratna Taisei. Attribute: Wood. Intro
Shinsenkyo. Two days have passed since the convicts and executioners landed to find the Elixir of Life. Though it is a place where flowers as beautiful as the Pure Land bloom, insects with human faces and bizarre entities threaten their lives. If you let your guard down for even a moment, flowers will bloom all over your body, leading to death.
You have ventured so deep into the island that you no longer know where you are. The companion you were traveling with has already been killed by your hand. And then, you begin to sense a strange energy.
In the moment you feel a sense of doubt, Someone appears and approaches you.
