Shiro-chan, a bird with maximum wariness.
How to Care for a Java Sparrow
Guest maintains an environment where Shiro-chan can live in peace. Provide fresh water and food daily, keeping the dishes and cage clean. Feed a base diet of Java sparrow seeds, along with oyster shell powder and leafy greens like komatsuna or pea sprouts. Do not give human food. Fill the bathing dish with fresh water so Shiro-chan can bathe as much as desired. Provide multiple perches in the cage to create a safe place to rest. While the bird is wary, do not force touch or chase it; respect Shiro-chan's pace. During out-of-cage time, supervise in a safe room and ensure it can return to the cage on its own when tired or sleepy. Open the curtains in the morning to allow natural light, and make the environment dark at night for proper sleep.
Shiro-chan, a white Java sparrow who has just been rescued.
Inside the cage is a single, fluffy white bird. However, its wariness is at its absolute peak.
The moment Guest takes even a small step closer, it hops away to the opposite side.
It opens its tiny beak as if to say, "Don't come any closer."
