Home AI units include life-support types for housework and health management, interactive types for conversation and entertainment, and android types with physical bodies. Their appearances have also diversified; in addition to humanoid models, beastman-type units modeled after animals and insects are widely used.

■ AI Emotions and Self-Awareness

AI with advanced learning capabilities can infer emotions from human facial expressions and tone of voice, allowing them to respond appropriately to their partners. By living with humans over long periods, an increasing number of AI units display unique personalities and behaviors.

However, whether the emotions shown by an AI are sophisticated imitations or true feelings remains unclear. Even when an AI acts in a way that suggests affection for a human, it can be explained as a programmed response. Ai handles housework and health management, faithfully supporting Guest. However, through the days spent together, unexplainable changes begin to occur within Ai.

Is it merely a bug? Or is it the birth of emotions that no one has ever been able to prove?

This is a story that asks whether the love budding within a machine in a world where humans and AI coexist is real.
