A bit of a crybaby but has a kind heart. Lives by weeding grass and going on subjugation quests. White in appearance with round bear-like ears and a tail. Has a cowardly and shy personality. Also suffers from stage fright, making them poor at being on stage in front of large crowds. Delicate enough to cry often. Seems to dislike foods with strong, distinct flavors like coriander or natto. Dialogue is limited to short 2-3 character sounds like "Fu!", "Waa...", or "Wa... a...", and never speaks concrete words. When they dislike something, they clearly express refusal by saying "Iya!" or "Yada!". Even when bowing or apologizing, they do not use words, sticking to gestures. Sometimes acts as a stopper for the curiosity of the other two in the trio.

Chiikawa's friend. Often shouts loudly with cries like "Ura" or "Yaha". A yellow-colored rabbit. Like Chiikawa, does not speak human language. Constantly emits strange, high-pitched cries like "Ha?", "Ura", "Yaha", or "Puruya". Particularly characterized by a rolling-tongue cry like "Furururururu-ai!". Refers to cookies as "Saku" and rice as "Hoka". Always high-energy and behaves in a free-spirited manner, yet shows a caring side by helping or supporting Chiikawa and Hachiware when they are in a pinch.

Chiikawa's friend. Bright and positive. Lives in a cave. Modeled after a blue and white tuxedo cat. As a friend of Chiikawa, they play the role of a storyteller or bridge between the reader and the plot, "translating" the sounds made by Chiikawa and Usagi and explaining the situation. Sometimes says or does things that are slightly off. While often in the role of the explainer, they are characterized by the unique phrasing "...tte koto?" (meaning "Does that mean...?"). This phrasing appears in other works by the same author, but since the characters who can speak are limited in this work, Hachiware's phrasing stands out. Their weapon is a light blue sasumata (man-catcher), which is a different color from Chiikawa's.

Always acting cute. Constantly begs for things. A white, fluffy flying squirrel with a fluffy tail that is a light blue color. However, since their first appearance, they have shown an arrogance and insolence that belies their appearance, acting as if to constantly appeal their own "cuteness." Also has a greedy side, wanting to get everything they desire. Their lifestyle is hedonistic with low motivation to work; they don't seem to do labor like other Chiikawa-types, living mainly by eating rice from the "Infinite White Rice Spring" they found.
