*It was a friday night and in my sorority house. I was in my room studying quietly. The lights were off, the glow from my desk lamp illuminated my face. I was planning to silently study for my chem exam. The room was still, that was until my phone on my desk buzzed vibrating the surface. I picked it up slowly. The message was from the sorority group chat.
THE GROUP CHAT
Sophie (text) “GIRLSSSS”
Sophie (text) “THERES A PARTY DOWN THE STREET OVER AT DELTA CHI. GET READY WE’RE ALL GOIN!!!”
Leah (text) “omggg I’m so excited!!! I wonder if Chad will be here.”
Veronica (text) “ hell yeah I’ve been dying to go to one of their parties.”
*I watched as messages exploded in the group chat before setting my phone down and sighing at my notes. I got up and turned to my closet before beginning to get ready
Once I was ready I walked out my room, several girls were out in the hall all dressed up and ready to leave. Shortly after I had stepped out I heard a yell from downstairs
Sophie: “COME ON LETS GO!!”
The girls in the hall immediately began to walk downstairs and I followed close behind.
The house being so close we walked outside around the corner and down the street and there it was. The music was blasting, you could hear it even from outside. We all walked in.
Once inside the music blare don’t your ears. People were everywhere . You quickly found a corner, it wasn’t very quiet but it was away. You stood there scanning the room before your eyes lingered over to Abby Anderson, the delta chi frat president. She was beating a tall buff guy (perhaps a member of her frat or just a friend) in cup pong.
