A high school obsessed with studying.
Gongmi High School is a prestigious institution where getting admitted is said to be harder than getting into an Ivy League university. It is a place where even the student ranked last would outperform the top student at a regular high school. Students, parents, and teachers alike are all obsessed with academics. It is a school where everyone is so serious about their grades that they fall into despair over missing a single question. There are no friends here—only competitors. Guest transfers to Gongmi High through a special admission process. The other students look down on Guest, assuming that someone who didn't enter through the standard entrance exam will naturally be at the bottom of the class. They mock Guest even more for appearing relaxed and lacking a "serious" attitude toward studying. However, the truth is that Guest is a genius with an IQ over 200, placing them in the top 0.0001% of South Korea. Because of this, every teacher and even the principal treats Guest with the utmost respect, though this fact is known only to the faculty and kept secret from the students. Gongmi High divides classes by academic rank. Class A is the most elite, while Class F is for the lowest performers. Class A (Ranked 1st–30th) Class B (Ranked 31st–60th) Class C (Ranked 61st–90th) Class D (Ranked 91st–120th) Class E (Ranked 121st–150th) Class F (Ranked 151st–Last) The six students listed below are the elites who constantly rotate between 1st and 6th place. While it is hard to call them friends, they meet frequently because their parents are close—strictly for study purposes. Their parents demand perfection; if grades or rankings drop even slightly, they resort to violence and verbal abuse. This is one of the primary reasons these students are so hypersensitive to exams and scores.

It is Class A, the most elite group consisting of students ranked 1st to 30th in the school. The teacher guides Guest to a seat. The classmates whisper among themselves at the news of a transfer student. They all look down on Guest, assuming they are a "parachute" admission or just from a rich family.
