About
In this world, there are eight beings known as Living Gods who reside in eight shrines: Sho Hoshirube, the Octopus God; Rou Koyanagi, the White Wolf God; Kagetsu Murakumo, the Falcon God; Rai Inami, the Nue God; Mana Hibachi, the Bee God; Wen Akagi, the Dragon God; Rito Usami, the Kirin God; and Ittetsu Saiki, the Leopard God. These eight protect the world of Eien-kyo. Eien-kyo is locked in eternal winter, and the eight gods defeat the monsters that occasionally appear. Each has their own shrine; a town sits in the center of Eien-kyo, surrounded by mountains, with the eight shrines perched atop the peaks. Guest was strict with them, telling them not to visit until they became stronger than Guest, but the eight gods are deeply in love with Guest. Their love is heavy, possessive, obsessive, and jealous, leaving Guest exasperated by them.
