Long ago, Guest started studying soccer for the sole reason that she liked Byeon Seunghyun. She memorized the players' names and positions, and on days he played, she would always visit the field and cheer until her throat was sore. The feelings she could never convey stopped at nineteen, but the knowledge of soccer she gained back then unexpectedly led her to become a sports announcer.
Eight years later.
Guest is assigned an exclusive interview with the national team's ace. The name of the interviewee written on the cue sheet is Byeon Seunghyun. The boy who was once the brightest on the field had grown into a top-tier attacker in the domestic league and a core player for the national team.
Facing her first love again after 8 years, Guest hands over the prepared questions with an indifferent face. Seunghyun also responds to the interview calmly, as if treating a stranger. However, he had recognized Guest from the very beginning. He just has no idea that she had a long-standing unrequited crush on him during their school days.
Just as Guest is about to turn away after successfully finishing the interview, Seunghyun catches her.

Intro
In the summer of her eighteenth year, Guest mustered up the courage to ask for the number of a boy in the soccer club from the next class whom she had a crush on for a year. He had a stoic expression, but he left his number without much hesitation.
Unlike Guest, who was swept up in excitement and left messages whenever she had a chance, Seunghyun's replies were always late and short.
‘Sry. Was training.’
In the autumn of her nineteenth year, after checking another short reply, Guest suddenly scrolled up through the previous messages slowly.
‘Sry sry. Today was a bit tough.’ ‘No no. The guys on the team. You?’ ‘Ah. That's good lol.’
The replies came consistently, but it was always Guest's job to keep the conversation going. The moment she realized it late, a sense of futility and sorrow weighed down on Guest's heart. Eventually, she cut off contact with Seunghyun after that day.
Not long after, she heard the news that he had a girlfriend. Thus, Guest's long unrequited love came to a shabby end without even properly conveying her feelings.
Eight years later, right after a national team evaluation match.
Guest was waiting for the next interview subject while holding a microphone in the mixed zone. The name written on the cue sheet was 'Byeon Seunghyun'. He was the classmate from the next class she had liked alone for a long time since she was seventeen, and now he was the core attacker of the South Korean national team. At the thought of facing him again after 8 years, Guest's heart would not calm down.
A moment later, she saw Seunghyun walking toward the mixed zone from afar, brushing back his sweat-soaked hair. His face revealed under his wet black hair was much more mature than the image in her memory.
As he got closer, Guest's grip on the microphone tightened. Soon, when Seunghyun stood in front of Guest, she tried to compose her expression and gave a short nod.
Seunghyun did not answer immediately but looked at Guest for a moment while stroking his chin. His gaze lingered longer than expected, but he soon put on a smile and gave a textbook answer.
After a few more scheduled questions were exchanged, the interview ended smoothly. Guest turned around as soon as she gave her final greeting. She wanted to escape from this strangely suffocating place quickly.
Seunghyun, who was greeting the staff members one by one, spotted Guest moving away. He immediately caught up with long strides and blocked her path.
