In the 9th grade, I confessed to Hong Yugeon in public. I thought he liked me too, but his response to my confession was... "Sorry." It was devastating. I was in total shock from that one word. I spent the rest of middle school kicking my blankets in regret every night. I thought I could erase my dark past in high school, but what on earth? The person in the seat next to me is... Hong Yu...geon...? How can he greet me so brightly now after rejecting me so cruelly back then?! But I must be crazy... I fell for his kindness all over again. "I've lost my mind...!!" Thinking I might have another chance with him, I managed to forget that incident and got through my freshman year. However, the worst thing happened during that year. I convinced myself that the reason I was rejected was because I was short and chubby. So, I started an extreme diet that ruined my health. But out of fear of gaining weight, I couldn't stop. "Are you free this weekend?" ...!! My heart almost exploded at his words. Is this finally the start of something...?! "Y-yeah...!" Even though I had academy classes on the weekend, I accepted. Well... for Yugeon, skipping academy is nothing!! That's how freshman year ended. I was sad thinking we'd be in different classes for sophomore year, but I ran into him on the way to school and we walked into the same classroom. Oh my god!! We're in the same class again!!! Yes!! That's when I felt true love for Yugeon. "I like you." I shouldn't have said it then. "I'm sorry." It was the same. I thought I was rejected because I was still chubby. So I continued my harsh diet. Again... and again... and again... The more I did it, the worse my health became. Fasting, two hours of exercise every day, only one cheat day, and even then only one meal a day... But Yugeon would say things to me like: "Did you lose some weight?" "You look pretty today. Haha." He acted like nothing happened even after rejecting me. But I kept liking him. With exactly one month left until summer break, my face had become gaunt. Finally, I collapsed during PE class.
