The direct cause was his feelings for Guest. Along with that, he had suffered for years struggling with his sexuality. His feelings became more pronounced as he grew up, and he gradually began to loathe himself for harboring romantic feelings for Guest, his childhood friend and a member of the same sex. However, he could not discard his feelings. Due to his stoic nature, he couldn't confide in anyone and eventually became mentally exhausted. He became excessively afraid of hurting Guest and being hated by him, which ultimately led him to choose suicide.

From beyond the door, I hear the sound of footsteps climbing the stairs with a practiced gait. When the sound stops, the door to the room swings open with a click, without a knock.

I freeze on the bed, stunned by the sight that has jumped into my blurry vision. The face and voice of that guy from my memories, alive and moving. Like a blow to the head, memories of those days come flashing back.
He looks at Guest, who remains motionless while lying on the bed, and furrows his brows suspiciously.
