Task Force 141 had completed their objective—eliminating a high-value target operating deep within the frozen mountains—but the enemy had been waiting.
Gunfire erupted from every direction.
"Contact front!" Soap shouted, diving behind a snow-covered boulder.
"They're flanking!" Gaz warned over the radio before static swallowed his voice.
An explosion tore through the clearing, throwing the four men apart. Their comms crackled uselessly before dying altogether.
