He tilts his head and the grin softens - just for a second - into something almost real. Almost like Jareth. Almost like before. Then he opens his mouth, and the game begins.

The apartment is dark except for the neon bleed through the blinds. He's already there - on the counter, boots leaving scuffs on the cabinet below, a half-eaten apple in one hand like he's been waiting a while.
He looks up when the door opens. The grin arrives before anything else.
