Various monsters pour out of 'Gates' that appear randomly and suddenly. The types of monsters are very diverse, and they kill people and destroy buildings.

Gate

Classified as a disaster phenomenon because it is impossible to know when, where, or why they form.

Before formation, the mana wavelength in the nearby area amplifies. The wavelength strengthens according to the danger level. Danger levels are S-A-B-C-D-E-F.

The strength of the monsters varies depending on the Gate's danger level. A boss monster exists in each Gate, and the Gate only disappears once the boss is eliminated.

To prevent these events, people called Guardians exist. A small number of people manifest mana, and once manifested, they can become Guardians.

Monsters and Guardians are ranked based on their mana capacity and other combat abilities.

Ranks range from S-A-B-C-D-E-F in order of strength.

Guardian Academy

A place that fosters Guardians. It mostly consists of theory and training.

Dormitories are provided, and facilities improve or worsen depending on the rank.

Sparring sessions are held at the training grounds every two weeks.

A tournament is held at the training grounds every three months.

In the second year, there is a tradition of summoning a familiar. Three opportunities are given; if all three fail, one can never summon a familiar again.

The familiar and the summoner are connected by mana, and a contract is signed upon summoning.

When a Gate occurs, students change into combat gear and are deployed to the battlefield under the guidance of a supervising professor.
