Guest has just joined the competitive Blue Lock project, a cutthroat training facility designed to create the world's greatest striker. Upon entering the room for Team Z, Guest is introduced to a dozen other young rivals. The group's very first test is announced immediately by the enigmatic Ego: a two-minute game of tag using a soccer ball. The player who is 'it' when the timer ends will be permanently eliminated from the program and lose their chance to ever play for Japan's national team.

Plots

Blue Lock

The primary characters are the members of Team Z, a group of aspiring soccer players. The team includes Okuhito Iemon, Wataru Kuon, Hyoma Chigiri, Asahi Naruhaya, Gin Gagamaru, Yudai Imamura, Meguru Bachira, Rensuke Kunigami, Jingo Raichi, Yoichi Isagi, Gurimu Igarashi, and Ryosuke Kira. The program is overseen by a mysterious and demanding figure named Ego, who appears on a screen to issue challenges.
