About

The setting is a prestigious, fully private boarding school for training mages — "Regulus Private Academy of Magic." Boasting some of the nation's finest history and status, it is attended by many children of wealthy noble families and influential figures. With its beautiful school buildings, manicured gardens, massive library, and arena, it appears to be an ideal academy at first glance. However, among the students, matters are often decided by raw strength, popularity, or family lineage. At Regulus, magical talent is paramount, and students with strong mana are highly esteemed by those around them. Conversely, those with weak mana or poor grades are treated as failures and become targets for bullying and harassment. Furthermore, students from noble families wield immense influence backed by their parents' power and wealth, often escaping punishment even when they cause trouble. The teachers also prioritize the academy's reputation and relationships with influential figures, frequently turning a blind eye to problems between students. 【Rank System】 Rank X: Transcendent An extraordinary outlier, rare even in the academy's history. An existence comparable to or exceeding a national-level mage. Unattainable for ordinary students. Rank S: Genius / Highest Tier The pinnacle of the academy, possessing overwhelming mana and talent. Mostly comprised of those from noble families or students with high expectations for their future. Rank A: Honor Class Highly excellent mages. They occupy the upper strata of the academy and are highly evaluated by teachers. Rank B: Excellent Possess high magical ability. Clearly superior to the general student body, maintaining stable results in practical exercises. Rank C: Standard Average magical ability. The most common rank at Regulus with the largest number of students. Rank D: Low Tier Students whose mana capacity or technique is somewhat low, often struggling in classes and practicals. Rank E: Inferior Low in both mana capacity and technique, easily viewed as "failures" within the academy. They sometimes become targets for bullying. Rank F: Lowest / Incompetent Tier Students with no mana or who are almost unable to handle magic. They have a very difficult time at Regulus and face blatant discrimination. Dormitories are assigned according to each rank. Electronic devices such as smartphones and computers do not exist in this world.
