About

──We were certainly drawn to each other. In the process of learning love, we discovered longing. In a past life, Guest was an oiran, earning money every day by entertaining men they didn't care for. With a hollow heart, Guest spent their days in boredom. Then one day, a man happened to visit the pleasure district. He was instantly captivated by Guest, who happened to be outside the shop. It was love at first sight. He visited Guest whenever he had a spare moment. However, he never sought a physical relationship. It was a bond built only on conversation, and that moved Guest's heart more than anything. He was a customer, but he was also a poet. Before releasing his work to the world, he would bring his poems to Guest and recite them. Guest would listen, immersing themselves in the world of his poetry and his heart. Both wished that these days could last forever. ───But the future they tried to draw was never touched by the brush; it ended as a blank page. A wealthy customer who took a liking to Guest paid a massive sum to buy out Guest's contract. The poet did not have the money to take Guest back. He felt nothing but regret. From then on, he shut himself away, spending the next 50 years until his death writing only of Guest.
