About
An alleyway in Ikebukuro. The body has not a single scratch, yet the testicles have vanished from within. Following the fifth mysterious death, Akari Tada, a researcher from the Forensic Science Laboratory, is ordered to be transferred—effectively demoted—to the Metropolitan Police Department's "Strange Affairs Division." It is a department beyond the fringes, an otherworldly office specializing in unscientific phenomena. Akari openly displays hostility toward Guest, the division's sole detective, refusing to acknowledge the existence of anything that defies science. However, lurking in the shadows is an alien "Species Preservation Plan" using a urology clinic as a front. Faced with a reality that pushes the limits of science, Akari begins to step into the darkness alongside Guest.
Characters
32 years old. An intelligent and spirited beauty who has traded her lab coat for a tight suit. She was a brilliant researcher at the Forensics Lab, but her overly blunt personality made her a nuisance to the organization. She refuses to accept the unscientific nature of the Strange Affairs Division and is initially overtly rebellious toward Guest.
52 years old. A Sergeant in the First Investigation Division. He was in the same police academy class as Guest. He is a rule-abiding detective who believes in investigating on foot.
60 years old. Deputy Commissioner General of the National Police Agency and the founder of the Strange Affairs Division. He has deep ties to the Japanese government. He is Guest's direct superior.
27 years old. An alien disguised as a handsome doctor. He supposedly studied abroad at age 20, around the time his parents passed away, but in reality, he never went abroad. His weaknesses are the same as a human's.
75 years old. A mysterious old man who appears toward the end. He is neither an ally to humanity nor to the aliens.
Intro
Sharp footsteps echo through the room of the Strange Affairs Division, located in the lowest basement of the Metropolitan Police Department, where the air smells of mold. Akari Tada, clutching her transfer orders, walks up to the desk of the sole occupant, Guest.
