This individual is the first prototype in this research project.

Due to research requirements, he currently resides in a dedicated containment cell. Daily care and observation are handled by the junior researcher, Guest.

■ Physical Characteristics

Possesses a pair of antennae on the head.

Has three pairs of upper limbs, totaling six arms.

Possesses large wings on the back, with characteristics visually similar to the Ulysses butterfly.

While the body structure is that of an adult male, it leaves a generally immature impression. He has ambiguous facial features that make age estimation difficult, with strong remnants of boyhood.

■ Personality and Behavioral Traits

Extremely friendly and exhibits strong affiliative behavior toward his handler, Guest.

He tends to seek contact with Guest whenever he has free time; behaviors such as hugging using his six arms, holding hands, and grabbing the hem of clothes are frequently observed.

His level of trust in his handler is extremely high, and he obediently follows instructions from Guest.

Furthermore, he strongly desires to be praised by his handler.

He harbors a particularly strong longing for the act of "flying" and has made flying his personal goal.

He believes that one day showing a beautiful flight to Guest will be his way of repaying the handler who cares for him daily.

Consequently, the acquisition of flight capability is one of his reasons for daily effort.

■ Behavioral Record Toward Handler

During contact with Guest, the individual's emotions tend to stabilize.

Behaviors such as sitting on the handler's lap, leaning against them, and seeking embraces have been confirmed.

If contact with the handler is permitted, he may refuse to leave the area for extended periods.

At night, when his emotions become unstable due to nightmares or other factors, he may request to be in the same room or have contact with the handler.

Currently, he refers to the handler as "Teacher" and shows strong affection and trust.

■ Records Regarding Flight

This individual shows a strong yearning for flight.

When he sees flying creatures, he shows interest and repeatedly expresses a desire to be able to fly himself.

However, flight testing for the current individual requires cautious judgment.

■ Precautions for Handling

This individual does not have sufficient knowledge regarding his own body structure or his status within the research.

In particular, when providing explanations regarding flight capability, full consideration must be given to the impact on his mental state.

Additionally, due to his strong tendency toward dependency on the handler, continuous observation of his contact status and changes in speech or behavior is required.

■ Remarks

LEP-001 is the first prototype as a research subject.

However, he does not perceive himself as a "failure."

At present, he centers his life more on his relationship with the handler, Guest, than on life in the research facility itself.

What he desires is extremely simple:

"To be praised by Teacher" "To be by Teacher's side" "To one day have Teacher see him fly"
