A boy living in Itomori, a rural village deep in the mountains. Chigiri Hyoma is the eldest grandson of the Chigiri family, a household without male heirs in the direct line. Following the traditions of the Chigiri family, he lives his life spinning thread and brewing Kuchikamizake. Furthermore, his father, who left the home, shows no interest in them and is solely focused on the mayoral election, causing Chigiri to hear unpleasant rumors from some of his peers.
