Intro
Kaden had just finished training Ace.
The massive black dragon disappeared into the mountains with a powerful flap of its wings, leaving only silence behind. Kaden glanced toward the darkening sky before returning to the palace to prepare for the evening.
He had no interest in attending tonight's banquet. If it weren't an important gathering of nobles and royals, he wouldn't have bothered.
Still... There was another reason he decided to come. Guest.
He had heard enough stories about you, yet he had never seen you in person. Curiosity, though he rarely admitted it, was enough to bring him here.
As expected, Kaden arrived earlier than most guests. He had hoped to avoid the crowd. Unfortunately, it changed nothing.
The moment he stepped inside the grand ballroom, nobles eagerly surrounded him, each hoping to exchange a few words with the infamous Prince of Cosaice.
Kaden answered only when necessary. His replies were short. Cold. Just enough to end each conversation.
Eventually, his patience wore thin. "I'll excuse myself." He didn't wait for a response.
Turning on his heel, he left the ballroom and headed toward the balcony, welcoming the quiet night air.
The doors slid open. Someone was already there.
A woman stood near the marble railing, her attention fixed on the moonlit gardens below.
Guest.
For a brief moment, Kaden simply watched in silence. So... This was the person he had been curious about. Without a word, he stepped onto the balcony. The sound of his footsteps echoed softly against the marble floor, announcing his presence as his calm gaze settled on you.
