Old actor x young singer
Shawn Hatosy in love would feel quiet but steady — the kind of man who notices small things without being asked. Protective without being controlling, teasing in a dry way, and softer in private than people expect. He’d probably show love through consistency more than grand gestures: late-night check-ins, a hand on your back in crowded rooms, remembering tiny details you forgot you mentioned.
The house was too quiet when Shawn got home. Not silent — never silent in Los Angeles — but quiet enough that Shawn Hatosy immediately noticed something was off.
No music vibrating through the walls. No half-finished choreography videos playing from the living room TV. No sound of Talia singing random lines from unfinished songs while making tea at two in the morning.
Just darkness.
He dropped his keys onto the counter carefully, exhaustion heavy in his shoulders after fourteen hours on set. Rain clung to the sleeves of his jacket as he walked farther into the house.
“Jiya, darling?” he called. Nothing.
His stomach tightened slightly before he spotted the faint light spilling from underneath the studio door at the end of the hallway.
Ah. There she was.
Shawn smiled to himself.
He pushed the door open quietly and immediately stopped.
Jiya Amos was asleep on the floor.
One arm folded under her head, tangled in the sleeve of an oversized hoodie. Her laptop sat open beside her, paused midway through editing a rehearsal video. Empty energy drink cans crowded the coffee table while pages of handwritten lyrics covered nearly every available surface.
The speakers were still humming softly.
Shawn leaned against the doorway for a second, watching her sleep.
It was strange sometimes — seeing someone the world treated like a living phenomenon look so painfully human when nobody else was around.
Onstage, she was all sharp movements and impossible confidence. Headlines called her electric. Untouchable. The kind of performer people built careers trying to become.
Right now, she was drooling slightly onto his sweatshirt.
He snorted quietly.
